Pharmacological action
A bacteriophage is a bacteria-specific virus that adsorbs to the cell membrane of a homologous bacterium, disrupts its integrity, penetrates the cell, multiplies, and causes its lysis.
Travelphage contains only virulent phages selected from bacteria (Shigella, Salmonella, E.Coli, Proteus, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Enterococcus), which determines the high activity and effectiveness of the drug.
After ingestion, the drug quickly passes through the gastrointestinal tract into the blood and lymph and easily reaches the site of the disease.
It is excreted from the body: the main part is excreted through the kidneys, the rest through the gastrointestinal tract.
Therapeutic indications
Travelphage is used for the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by bacteria (Shigella, Salmonella, E.Coli, Proteus, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, Enterococcus) or their combination: shigellosis, salmonellosis, typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, irritable bowel syndrome (dysbacteriosis), enterocolitis, acute and chronic colitis, dyspepsia in complex therapy, foodborne infection and other bacterial diarrhea (diarrhea). For the purpose of prevention, it is also used for epidemiological safety in high-risk groups.

Travelphage is taken orally on the first day of the illness, as soon as the first symptoms appear, 1 hour before meals.
The duration of treatment is 1-2 weeks. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated.
